ZUMBA is the only form of cardio that has held my interest longer than some 2 or 3 month fad. Why? Because it doesn't FEEL like exercise! It feels like dancing at a party with friends! :-) If you want to actually HAVE FUN while getting healthy, come join me! You don't have to know ANYTHING about dance - everything can be modified and tailored to where you are.
My classes are judgement-free! You can't "mess up". I only have two rules:
#1 - SMILE! :-)
#2 - Don't stop moving!
Do it as "girl time" with your friends, do it to get healthier, do it to stay sharp!
Interested in weight loss? I lost 10 lbs in the first six months when I began taking Zumba weekly as a student. Something that is THIS MUCH FUN *AND* could shape me up? It has become a passion! :-)
I began teaching Zumba in south Georgia, and now that we live outside Houston, I teach at Life Time Athletic - CityCentre and VIBE Fitness in Katy.
Outside of Zumba, I studied dance (tap & jazz with ballet foundation) for 15 years and have taught dance (preballet, creative movement, tap, & jazz) outside Atlanta and Chicago. I am also a youth cheerleading coach, the VP of Cheer for Katy Youth Football, a flyer on Adrenaline Allstars Beast Mode parent squad, a Yin yoga addict, and a vocalist with my church praise team.
